Meet the Willgress Family

Willgress of Fransham is a small, family business run by husband and wife, Michael and Sarah Willgress, along with skilled butchers Marcus and Dougie.

Michael started in the butchery trade at 14 as a Saturday boy at Howards Butchers in Castle Acre, before training at Impson Butchers in Swaffham and then managing butchery departments at Walsingham Farms Shop. Sarah's background was in social work, supporting young people with disabilities, before joining Michael in the shop.

Michael and Sarah married in 2014 and have two children, Harry and Maisie. When the old Manor Farm Shop became available, they took the opportunity to open their own butchers, taking the keys and opening within four days – their first trading day was Friday 11th August 2017.
